Five Day Itinerary For Shopping Lovers

Five days shopping in Istanbul could certainly be expensive! Having said that, if you consider yourself to be a shopping lover and are really wanting to splash the cash and experience shopping heaven, you’ve certainly come to the right place. From markets to malls, stores to boutiques, there are plenty of shopping experiences on offer.

How much you spend is up to you, but one thing is for sure, you’ll need comfortable shoes!

Day One

We will lump these two together, because they are located within close proximity to each other and also because they give you similar types of experiences. The Grand Bazaar is one of the oldest bazaars in the country, and it sells everything you can imagine, from clothing to shoes, bags to watches, perfume to hats, you name it, they sell it. Haggle all you like here, because it’s totally expected and you’ll grab some bargains for sure.

The Egyptian Spice Bazaar probably won’t take you as long to explore but it’s definitely worth visiting. This fragrant bazaar sells, as you would imagine, spices of every single time, and it’s colourful nature is really fun. Take a few photos whilst you’re doing a little damage to your bank account!

Day Two

This is without a doubt the busiest street in the whole of Istanbul, and at times you can’t even walk properly, let alone in a straight line! The avenue is lined with stores of all different kinds, from international brands to more local boutiques, as well as side streets with markets to explore, to attract shopping lovers of all kinds. The good news is that there are many food outlets and coffee shops too, so you can have a pit stop several times over as you work your way down the street and back up the other side![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

Day Three

This is a huge shopping mall which even has a theme park and massive cinema too! You can easily please with an hour or so in the Fun Lab or a film in the cinema, which should give you brownie points when it comes to shopping. There are more shops and floors to this mall that we can even mention, but you will not struggle to find what you’re looking for. The top floors are dedicated to all manner of different food outlets, so you can certainly make a full day of it. The mall is also linked by the Metro system, and you don’t even need to go outside, as it has its own stop in Sisli.

Day Four

  • Mall of Istanbul

Because of the name you would expect this mall to be huge, and you won’t be disappointed because it is. The great thing about that however is that it never really feels crammed full, although it does get very busy with shopping lovers at the weekends in particular. There is plentiful parking, and there are many bus stops not too far way. The mall however is not linked to the Metro system, because the Metro doesn’t run this far. There is a Fun Lab for the kids, a cinema, beauty salons, food outlets, coffee shops, and what seems like a million and one different shops to spend your hard-earned cash in!

Day Five

This Nisantasi area of Sisli is a very busy shopping street, which is particularly good for designer shopping. If you want to find some top labels, then this is your place. Again, it does get very busy around this area, especially traffic wise, but there is a Metro stop very close, again in Sisli, so you can easily get back to wherever you’re based.

Shop ‘til you drop? You’ll be needing another holiday afterwards to recover!
