Want to Party? Turkey’s Best Nightlife Spots

Sun is guaranteed during the summer months in Turkey’s coastal holiday hotspots, as well as a damn good time! But, what if you want to party? Is your luck in?

Yes!

There are some seriously vibrant spots for partying in Turkey during the summer months, and even when the weather takes a dip for the cold during the winter too!

Whilst you should remember that Turkey is a Muslim country, and therefore drinking on the streets is not something you should do, there are many bars in the tourist resorts which cater for anyone who wants to enjoy a drink or two, and party until the sun comes up.

So, where are the best places to do just that?

Istanbul – Taksim

Istanbul is a huge city, with many vibrant nightlife areas, but Taksim is certainly where its at. This is the most international part of the whole city, and you’ll find countless clubs and bars lining the famous Istiklal Street, which are open until the early hours. Of course, you’re in the middle of a large city, so prices aren’t going to be that low, but there are many alternative choices on the back streets of Istiklal, where the cost isn’t as high as on the main stretch. For instance, there are rock bars, an Irish bar, and a few local music bars where you can purchase beer for a few lira less than if you venture to a club on the main Istiklal stretch.

Marmaris

On the south coast you’ll find the tourist hotspot of Marmaris, and during the summer months the resort is alive during the evening hours. There is the dedicated Bar Street area, which is full of nightclubs, and the marina also has many bars which stay open very late. On the beach front, you’ll find fun pubs and bars too, and even as far as onto the main road, there are many options for enjoyment. If you want to dance and sing to the loud music however, it’s Bar Street or the odd club/fun pub on Long Beach which are going to serve you best.

Gumbet

Gumbet is a partying spot for sure. This used to be a club 18-30 destination in Turkey, but nowadays it’s just a seriously great place to drink, dance, and party your socks off (if you bother to wear socks in that heat!). There are beach clubs, exclusive nightclubs, and plenty of beach bars too, where you can enjoy your partying fun until the sun comes up. Whilst neighbouring Bodrum is the quieter, more upmarket spot, Gumbet is here the party fans go.

Olu Deniz

Olu Deniz is a great place for families to visit, but there is a spot on the beach that is perfect for those who want to party the night away. There are several beach bars and a nightclub which allow you to enjoy your holiday fun, without having to think about the time. The beach is also there to relax on during the day, when you’re perhaps trying to sleep away that headache from the previous night’s excesses!

Istanbul – Kadikoy

Another hotspot in Istanbul is Kadikoy, on the Asian side of the Bosphorus. This is often referred to as the Taksim of the Asian side, and although it isn’t as large or bright, it is a little cheaper in terms of prices! If you’re looking to save a little cash, this is the place to go! The winding streets have various bars and chill out areas to enjoy, as well as the odd club. At the weekends, these establishments stay open very late, however during the week you’ll find they close a bit earlier, depending on how busy they are on that particular day.

These are just a few places you can party the night away at in Turkey, with countless more besides!
