The Istanbul Dolphinarium is one of the most popular tourist attractions. Once you are here, you will be ensured of a day full of full, frolic and laughter. This is a wonderful place to interact with and watch the dolphins do what they do best!

Located on the Golden Horn, the Istanbul Dolphinarium is a great place to visit if you are in Turkey. It gives you a chance to watch the dolphins play and watch them put up a number of performances in the pools. Not just that, the visitors are even allowed swimming with the dolphins! All this and more happens in six pools and a grand pool. Altogether, it can house around a whopping 1000 visitors. There are specific shows arranged that attracts visitors from all round the country.

This is a very unique experience for all the people visiting Istanbul. This is the largest indoor dolphin park in Istanbul. It is the perfect place to visit with your family, especially if there are kids together. Watching the dolphins perform their antiques at such close proximity is something that you cannot miss. Dolphins, seals, whales, walrus, you get them all here in one place! The shows are of one hour each but are high in entertainment value!

The Istanbul Dolphinarium remains open on all days of the week except for Mondays. On weekdays, the shows are held at 11 am and 1:30pm. On weekends, you can watch the shows at 12pm, 2pm or 5pm. Each of these one hour shows consists of a performance by four dolphins, four seals, two white whales and two walruses. Also, for kids above 10 years of age, there is a chance for them to swim with the dolphins in one of the six pools. However this 10 minute experience requires prior reservation. Other under water swimming experiences and scuba diving lessons are provided for the visiting kids.

Each show gives a break of 15 minutes to allow the visitors to take pictures with the performing dolphins! This requires no reservation in advance and is a popular activity in the Istanbul Dolphinarium. There is a certain entry fee for admission into the adventure park. The adults are expected to pay 35 TL while the feel reduces to 20 TL for kids. After the show and the swimming and scuba diving sessions, there are shower rooms for the kids to change.

Getting to the Istanbul Dolphinarium is rather simple. There are a number of public buses that ply here. Since it is very centrally located at the Golden Horn, communication is made easier. Taking a taxi to the location or availing the metro route to the Aksaray Metro Station are the other feasible options!
